Solar Shrink™ is designed to shrink tight on to the growing bed after laying, reducing time in adjusting laying equipment settings as the film naturally shrinks tight to the bed, allowing for faster application.

Manufactured with less polymer, Solar Shrink™ is generally able to be supplied at a lower cost per meter than competitor products.

Being applied to the bed faster, it requires less fuel and labor and is retrieved easily by machine, reducing additional labor costs.

The unique polymer blends and the patented Solar Shrink™ production process creates a mulch film that is up to 300% stronger than other available mulch products. This additional strength ensures that the mulch lays easily and can be picked-up by machine at the season’s end.

Solar Shrink™ is designed to shrink when exposed to solar radiation, resulting in a tightly laid bed every time. This reduces damage, heat and moisture loss due to loose, flapping plastic.

Within minutes of exposure to the sun Solar Shrink™ reduces in surface area by up to 30%, pulling tight against the edge soil. As the season progresses the plastic will remain tight, continuing to shrink tight even if the bed should collapse.

As Solar Shrink™ uses less plastic and energy in its manufacture, it is far cheaper than competitor products.
